Grace Pears alternates working on the wards at Nepean Private Hospital and in our musculoskeletal clinic.

Her experience in the public hospital system gives her a great understanding of post-operative and medical care, helping give you a wholistic approach to your healthcare needs.

She is patient, passionate about education and has a wide variety of dad jokes and puns on hand.

Grace has a specialist interest in Women’s Health, and is hoping to continue learning and gaining experience in this area over the coming year.

In her free time, you’ll find her bushwalking or baking – though rarely at the same time!

 She is a super friendly and patient physiotherapist, willing to put in the time to get your musculoskeletal injuries completely sorted. 

Some of her key skills are Dry Needling and physiotherapy during and after pregnancy.

 Outside of clinic, Navneet enjoy’s exploring the great outdoors on hikes, spending time with family and friends and always on the lookout to try new foodie hotspots.

Megan Tomkins

Megan has a great interest in treating sports and musculoskeletal injuries as well as Clinical Exercise through the DMA Clinical Pilates framework.

She runs Clinical Exercise classes every week at the practice which make use of her DMA Clinical Pilates training.

Megan is the team physiotherapist for Blue Mountains Netball Club.  She has a special interest in young athletes particularly prevention of acute lower limb injuries such as ACL and ankle sprain

In her spare time, you will find her out running and training for half marathons, playing netball and enjoying time with friends and family.

Declan graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 2009. Since graduating he spent a few years working at a private practice in the Hawkesbury while also being the team physio for the Penrith Rams AFL team.

He spent three years living in Pokhara, Nepal working in a small mission hospital and spending his downtime riding the surrounding hills on his mountain bike. He is currently studying a Masters of Philosophy (research) through the Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney, studying activation patterns of certain muscles around the shoulder and trunk. Declan has experience treating a wide range of injuries and problems and enjoys helping people get back to good health to help them enjoy life, whatever that may involve.

With two young kids of her own, Sarah is very understanding of the realities of family life and is passionate about the importance of Early Intervention.

She provides services under the NDIS and is a member of both the APA National Paediatric Physiotherapy Group and the Western Sydney Paediatric Physiotherapy Network Group.

Emily Standen

Emily is currently completing her Masters of Physiotherapy for Pelvic Health and leads the Women’s Health department at Penrith Physiotherapy Sports Centre.

Emily completed her Physiotherapy degree at the University of Sydney. She has undertaken further post graduate studies in Womens’s HealthConnectTherapy and DMA Clinical Pilates.

Emily treats all musculoskeletal disorders however has a special interest treating pre and post natal womenrunners and dancers.

Emily is involved in tutoring post graduate medical students in Musculoskeletal Examination through the University of Sydney.

When she’s not at work Emily can be found running through the Blue Mountains with her Weimaraner Charlie

Emily’s passion has always been working with children and as such has spent the entirety of her career working with the paediatric population. She is presently undertaking her titling to become a titled paediatric physiotherapist under the Australian Physiotherapy Association. She is set to become one of the first in Australia titled under this new program.

Emily has previously worked in the tertiary acute care setting at The Children’s Hospital Westmead but prefers to work in the community with families and their multidisciplinary teams. She is a local provider for paediatric physiotherapy and early intervention services under the NDIS and Betterstart initiative. Emily can see children of all ages and abilities and strives to provide evidence based care to all her patients. Her success is reflected in the many paediatricians and GPs that refer to her in the area.

Tim completed his physiotherapy degree in 2011. Since 2013 he has practiced as a Mckenzie Certified Practitioner and completed his diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy in 2019. This is one of his primary methods of treatment for his patients.

He has a particular interest in treating spine pain and chronic pain presentations, focusing on empowering his patients to self-manage and move well.

He also has an interest in treating sporting injuries and helping players improve performance.

Tim has trained in Clinical Pilates and enjoys applying this in the rehab setting as an effective approach in injury prevention and strength & conditioning.

He enjoys seeing the hard work of rehab translate to meaningful activities from the elite athlete to the ‘everyday mover’.
